I’ve been covering this series from the start, and we’ve backed the Clippers in every contest. They’re a perfect 3-0 ATS. I’m going back to the well on Saturday, although it’s unlikely that we'll have a 34-point cushion like game three. Still, this series boils down to a few simple factors in my mind. First, the Clippers have a massive edge in the coaching department. Coach Tyronn Lue has won championships as both a player and a coach, while Coach David Adelman has just five NBA games under his belt as a head coach. Additionally, the Nuggets have a severe lack of depth, and when you factor in nagging injuries to SF Michael Porter Jr. (shoulder) and PG Russell Westbrook (foot), I just do not see them keeping pace – especially against the Clippers’ top-five defense. Points have been tough to come by for the Nuggets this series, as they’ve scored the following points at the end of regulation in the first three games: 98, 102, 83. I hate to sound like a broken record, but I just wonder where the scoring is going to come from for this depth-less Nuggets team, especially while they’re dealing with injuries.Typically, role players take a step back on the road, and that’s a theory that I’ll lean on in this spot. Los Angeles brings in the third-best defense in terms of efficiency, allowing only 107.9 points per 100 possessions. They’re also the second-best defensive team at home, conceding only 105.2 points per game. I’ll back Los Angeles, who’s on a 20-4 SU run, to take care of business at home.
