With Jimmy Butler’s status for game three looming large, this is a tough market to bet into at the moment. If he doesn’t play, then the Rockets are 100% live to win this game outright. If Butler is able to go, I still don’t mind taking a flier on Houston plus a full possession’s worth of points. Mostly, I like the way that this Rockets team is built. They’re constructed to play in low-scoring, defensive games, and that’s typically what we get when the playoffs roll around. I love that they’re the best rebounding team in the Association at 53.5%, as well as ranking first in offensive rebound rate at 31.8%. If they can control the glass and steal a few extra possessions, then the Rockets should be able to keep this game within striking distance. If Jimmy Butler is unable to go or doesn’t have his full defensive capabilities, it should open the door for the Rockets to compete offensively in this game and win outright.
