Analysis
#509 CHICAGO (-) over Portland at 9 PM EST On a rough run off four consecutive straight up losses (0-3-1 ATS), the Bulls will get healthy in a hurry when they travel to the Moda Center and battle the Trailblazers. Portland enters this non-conference matchup in a funk of its own on a stiff 0-5 SU and 1-4 ATS run and head coach Chauncey Billups and his crew will be in trouble here. A quick peek at the History Book shows that Chicago has played well in this series inking a solid 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS record in the last five meetings. Equally impressive, when priced as a road favorite and taking the floor without momentum off a SU and ATS loss Da Bulls hold a rewarding 109-35 SU and 85-58-1 ATS mark including an outstanding 50-14 SU and 41-23 ATS provided head coach Billy Donovan and his crew played in the comforts of home last. With those two parameters live and Chicago facing a foe that holds a team won/loss percentage of .351 or less, this technical situation skyrockets to a highly profitable 30-6 SU and 26-10 ATS. Since December 1st, 2024, Portland has been at its financial worst inking a weak 5-16 SU and 8-13 ATS record in its last 21 games. In this run checking in off a beating of 10 points or more, the Blazers fall to a miserable 1-7 SU and 0-8 ATS. Also, at home against an Eastern Conference opponent, Coach Billups and his boys have struggled inking a weak 30-47-2 ATS mark including a poor 14-29-1 ATS provided they are priced as an underdog or a short favorite of -3.5 or less. Finally, as a non-division home dog competing against a foe that arrives off a SU and ATS loss, Portland holds a poor 8-27 SU and 9-26 ATS tally. If the Bulls truly want to participate in the playoffs this year, Coach Donovan and the boys know they can't afford losses to a Blazers bunch that is one of the worst in the Western Conference. Take Chicago. Thanks and best of luck, Tom.
