The Rams picked up a win over the Vikings but that came on an indoor turf against a quarterback making his first career playoff start. The Eagles have won the last two meetings including a 37-20 road win in the meeting this season November 24, 2024. Philadelphia is a stingy defensive team under Vic Fangio and they have a variety of ways to do damage offensively. Hurts makes his seventh career playoff start here so he knows what it’s like to play in these big games. Game time temperatures are expected in the low 30s with the potential for snow in the forecast as well. That could make for slick conditions, which can cut both ways. Philadelphia is a team more built for the cold and snow: the Rams keep it close but the Eagles’ ability to run the ball with Barkley and Hurts is too much for the visitors. (Few players on defense like to stand in the way of an all out run in your face from Barkley when it’s freezing.) This will be out in the elements, of which there will be plenty to deal with, especially from the boys from Southern California. Los Angeles has quite the injury report heading into the weekend. Nose tackle Bobby Brown III (shoulder) and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon (thigh) missed practice Thursday while tight end Tyler Higbee (chest) was limited. Added to this game certainly has to be the extreme concerns for the Rams players as they dealt with the wildfires in LA.
