Analysis: Offensively, the Philadelphia 76ers and Charlotte Hornets are two of the least efficient teams in the NBA, so I don’t expect a ton of fireworks when the two meet tonight in the City of Brotherly Love. Strange to say, but Joel Embiid is now Philadelphia's second-leading scorer (20.3) behind Tyrese Maxey (25.1), mostly due to the fact he’s played in just six of the team’s 24 games this season (8-16). He missed seven straight games with an orbital fracture before returning Dec. 8 for a 108-100 win at Chicago. Since then he’s only suited up for one of Philly’s last two, missing Monday’s win at Charlotte, and is listed as questionable for this matchup. The 76ers score less at home (105.1 ppg) than they do on the road (106.8 ppg), currently ranking next to last and last in the league, respectively. The low-scoring output has led the Under to post in four of their last five games, three of which were played in Philly. Charlotte, on the other hand, managed just 105.7 ppg over its last three, all of which resulted in losses to sub-.500 opponents Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington. Simply put, neither of these teams has been lighting up the scoreboard of late, so why would tonight be an exception? With that being the case, this one is sure to wind up Under the total.
