Yesterday’s Results for Carolina Hurricanes vs Washington Capitals

Analysis: Carolina Hurricanes (ML) .. Tuesday's win against the Islanders was clinical from Carolina. The Canes have now won consecutive games and I believe that they are ready to start making a run at the top spot in the Metropolitan Division. Right now, they are in 3rd, behind both the Capitals as well as the Devils. Luckily for them, they will be up against Washington tonight in what should be a very interesting matchup. Talking about the Capitals, they are still having to play without their superstar in Alexander Ovechkin. Ovi suffered a fractured left fibula a month ago now. He's progressing very fast and could return very soon. I don't see him playing tonight though. Washington, who have done a great job without him, has now lost its last two games. This is a very difficult matchup to get out of their mini slump. In this game, I believe that Carolina will simply dominate. The Hurricanes defense is phenomenal and they are scoring a lot of goals this season. Even with the absence of Frederik Andersen still, Pyotr Kotchetkov has done an excellent job. Expect the Hurricanes to come out of this game victorious, just like they have over their past two games vs. each other. Score Prediction: 4-1 Hurricanes.
