Yesterday’s Results for New York Mets vs Milwaukee Brewers

Analysis: My selection is on the 'over' between New York and Milwaukee at 7:05 pm et on Thursday. This has been the highest-scoring of all the Wild Card series' this week but we haven't seen any sort of adjustment to the total entering Game 3 on Thursday. Note that the Brewers rank a healthy 13th in the majors in weighted on base average against left-handed pitching this season and they'll face one they just saw on September 28th in Jose Quintana of the Mets. Current Brewers hitters are batting better than .300 with an OPS north of .900 across 60+ career at-bats against the veteran starter. Quintana has turned in his worst campaign since 2021 by most metrics, logging a 4.56 FIP. Rookie Tobias Myers will counter for Milwaukee. This is obviously a pressure-packed situation for the young right-hander after he silenced the Mets bats over four innings in a matchup with Quintana last Saturday. New York ranks 11th in the majors in wOBA against right-handed pitching this season. It's likely we'll see plenty of the Brewers bullpen with Myers not working deep into ball games down the stretch.
