GTBets was founded by ex-VIP Sportsbook and BetGameDay management in 2011, and took over the accounts of those other two books, which closed their doors. Since its inception, GTBets has been aggressive in its marketing to new clients, and offers a nice 100% cash sign-up bonus (up to $500), along with a 50% bonus (up to $250) on a client's second deposit. Please note that the welcome bonus comes attached with a 12x rollover. Following these two bonuses, GTBets offers automatic cash reload bonuses on qualifying deposits in an amount which ranges from 5% to 50%, depending on whether the client has met certain criteria. Moreover, each week, GTBets sends an email newsletter with special promotions, which might include free bets, additional rebates, reduced juice offers, etc. Finally, GTBets has its GameTimeRewards loyalty program where clients earn points for each wager in the sportsbook, casino or racebook, which can be redeemed for cash, merchandise or sweepstakes.

GTBets has several easy ways for clients to deposit money into their account. GTBets accepts credit cards/prepaid gift cards ($999 max), Bitcoin ($2,000 max), Litecoin ($2,000 max), Bitcoin Cash (2,000 max), and Quick Cash ($500 max). Even better: GTBets' sign-up and deposit process is lightning-fast, so a client can go through the whole process in under five minutes, and be able to get down on a game when time is of the essence. When a client is ready to withdraw money, there are three methods: Bitcoin (free; $300 min, $5,000 max), bank wire ($40 fee; $100 min, $5,000 max) and Quick Cash (greater of $50 fee or 8%).

Odds

GTBets is best for the casual sports bettor, but does offer advantages for sharps, as well. It's not among the earliest to post the odds. However, GTBets is one of the few sportsbooks to offer reduced juice, as football and basketball odds are -109 rather than -110. Additionally, baseball bettors will appreciate GTBets' dime line up to -160. So, its odds confer a big financial advantage, which sharps will appreciate. GTBets' lines are generally within the range of all the major sports books.

User Interface and Mobile Betting

GTBets' website is clean, intuitive and also one of the more colorful, with shades of bright orange and blue. And it has one of my favorite features, which is a search bar to quickly bring up the odds on your desired bet. (It's always amazing to me that very few sportsbooks (Bovada is another) have this very useful tool.) Another nice GTBets feature is that its bet slip has four tabs to allow customers to easily change their bet type from among straight bets, parlays, if bets, and teasers. Finally, on GTBets' left navigation bar, you can click on the Starting Soon tab to quickly find upcoming games, the Live Scheduled tab to see the games which will be available later in live betting, or its Live Now tab to make in-game wagers on games in progress.

GTBets' mobile platform is compatible with all devices, and is also terrific — whether betting on sports, playing the ponies, or wagering in the casino.

Betting Limits

GTBets is geared toward the recreational player, and not the pro. Thus, its betting limits are moderate. Still, most players will be satisfied, as you can get down as much as $5,000 on an NFL side, and $2,000 on an NFL total. Baseball, college football and college basketball sides are capped at $3,000, while the totals in those sports are limited to $1,000. Hockey is maxed at $2,000 for sides and $500 for totals, while soccer's limits are quite low, at $500 for both sides and totals. However, as is the case at most sportsbooks, players can contact management to request higher limits, and such requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Live Sports Betting

GTBets offers an extensive live wagering menu on all the major sports. Its platform is very well-organized, continuously updates the odds, and is easy to use.

Additional and/or Unique Offerings

In addition to its top-shelf sportsbook, GTBets has a casino and racebook for its players. The casino has most of the standard games, but is limited in its live dealer games and tournaments. It does, however, offer a 10% weekly rebate on all casino losses. GTBets' racebook goes even further, with a very customer-friendly 15% rebate on monthly losses. But that nice benefit is countered by a relatively low wagering limit of $500 on individual bets. Also, exotic bets have caps on potential payouts, and Pick 6 wagering isn't offered.

GTBets doesn't offer a poker room. And it also falls short in the “fun” prop bets department, as it has scant offerings in that area. But GTBets does have one of the coolest promotions in the sportsbook industry. It offers its customers a free 1/2 point on each of their favorite NFL, NCAA football, NBA and NCAA basketball teams — every time you bet on them!
