Blazers vs Bulldogs Prediction

The University of Alabama-Birmingham Blazers are coming into this game sitting in 4th place of the Conference USA West with a 1-0 record so far in this regular season. They won their season opener of the college football season against JSU 31-0. Tyler Johnstone III played a great game completing 17/21 passes for 320 yards and 2 touchdowns. Even the backup Dylan Hopkins got some work in that game completing 2/2 passes for 51 yards and 1 touchdown. Jermaine Brown Jr led the team in rushing with 78 yards and 1 touchdown on 14 carries. DeWayne McBride also had a decent game rushing for 54 yards on 12 carries. Trea Shropshire had a great game receiving for 128 yards and 1 touchdown on 5 receptions. Gerrit Prince and RaJae' Johnson also had good games receiving for over 60 yards and a touchdown each. Mac McWilliams led the defense in their last game with 3 solo tackles and 1 assisted tackle.

The Georgia Bulldogs football team are sitting in 6th place of the SEC East with a 1-0 record. They won their first game of the NCAA football schedule taking down the 3rd ranked Clemson Tigers in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) 10-3 and will be looking to keep climbing the AP poll trying to make it to the National Championship game. JT Daniels had an alright game completing 22/30 passes for 135 yards and 1 interception. Zamir White led the way for rushing with 74 yards on 13 carries but other than that the run game was stunted. Brock Bowers led the team in receiving with 43 yards on 6 receptions. The offense was very quiet for the Bulldogs in this game but they were facing one of the best defenses in the country. It was the defense that were the real stars for them. Nakobe Dean led the way with 3 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, and 2 sacks. Adam Anderson, Travon Walker, Nolan Smith, and Jalen Carter all recorded 1 sack each in the game. It was the defensive backs like Christopher Smith with the 1 pick-6 scoring the only touchdown in this game being the winner who stepped up in this one. The Bulldogs won the Peach Bowl last season but they are not looking for a good bowl record in bowl games like a Rose Bowl or a Sugar Bowl, they are looking to win the conference championships and the national title. Despite a lot of conference games on their schedule they do not have the Alabama Crimson Tide in their way like previous seasons and with Clemson out of the way their path is looking nice.

The UGA Bulldogs are a top 5 team in the country and they have just taken down a team ranked even higher than they are. The UAB football team is good but their offense will not be able to move the ball like they did last week against their opponents top notch defense. The Bulldogs were quiet with their offense last week but they were against a top 3 team and made it out unscathed. They will be looking to make a statement here to back up that big win with a big blowout against a much lesser team. The line is too large to bet on this game SU on the money line but they will cover this spread to make that statement that they are a team bound for the college football playoff and possibly even the National Championships.

Players to Watch

UAB Blazers: Tyler Johnstone III is one player to watch here as he played a very good game in the passing game and he will want to continue those hot streaks into this game. The team does not have the best run game so it will be important for him to play well in the passing game especially against such a good defense.

Georgia Bulldogs: JT Daniels is one player to watch here in his home games as he will want to put on a show for the fans.He did not have the best game against Clemson but he can only do so much against one of the best defenses. Now that they made it out with the win he will have a lot of confidence coming into this game and will want to step up and show that they were not just unable to score in the last game.
