Texas Tech vs Florida Prediction

The current betting odds have Florida listed as a 6.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Florida has looked great in their games this season with their 33-4 record overall and their 14-4 conference record which had them right near the top of the SEC. They have also been great in these neutral site games as they are 11-0 this season. Meanwhile, Texas Tech has looked really good in their games this season with their 28-8 record overall and their 15-5 conference record which had them right near the top of the Big 12. They haven't been great in neutral site games this season though, going 5-3 in those, and it showed in the Sweet 16. They are coming off a 2 point win over Arkansas in OT, but they were trailing for a majority of that game. They were down 16 points with a little over 10 minutes left, but they were able to come back and force OT, eventually winning the game. As good as they were to come back and win that game, they showed a lot of weaknesses getting behind that much for that long against a team like Arkansas. Florida has a lot more talent on their side as they have been ranked like one of the best teams in the nation for most of the season, and they showed it in their last game. They looked great in their first game of this tournament and hit a snag when they played UConn, trailing for a lot of that game and needing to come back very late to beat the defending champions, but they bounced back with a much better performance in their last one as they beat Maryland by double digits in the Sweet 16 and were in complete control of that entire game. Florida has been rolling lately as they also won the SEC Tournament before this, and they are focused on winning the National Championship as they know they have one of the best teams left in this tournament. Texas Tech has been good, but they haven't been at their best in this tournament and Florida can take advantage of that with the talent they have. The best way to place a bet here is on Florida to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"The heart of the team is Darrion Williams, and he's just a resilient guy. I mean I can't even explain it. I put faith in him because I do believe that he'll find a way in one-game scenarios to do whatever it takes to win. I honestly do. Whatever it takes." - Grant McCasland after his team’s win against Arkansas in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament.

“It’s surreal, to be honest. The thing that I keep kind of going back to, selfishly, personally, I just don’t want it to end. We have a uniquely tight group. It’s been an amazing run.” - Todd Golden after his team’s win against Maryland in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
