The Saints are entering this game with a 2-0 record overall and they have a 1-0 record in their divisional games too. They are 1-0 in their home games, 1-0 in their road games, and they are also 0-0 in their neutral site games this season, but they will be at home for this game. Eagles vs Saints Prediction

The current betting odds have the Saints listed as a 3 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Saints have looked really good in their games this season with their 2-0 record overall. They beat up on the Panthers in their season opener, the Panthers already starting to look like the worst team in the NFL again this season, but their win last week was a lot more impressive, blowing out the Cowboys on the road. The Saints offense has looked great with their new OC, putting up 40+ points in both games this season. Meanwhile, the Eagles haven't looked great in their games this season with their 1-1 record overall. They opened the season in Brazil with a 34-29 win over the Packers, but their defense didn't look great in that game as they struggled to hold onto a lead. Now they are coming off a loss to the Falcons at home on Monday night and other than 1 good game winning drive at the end, the Falcons offense didn't really look that good with Cousins still. The Eagles have some big problems on defense to start the season and until they get that fixed, they are going to continue to give up points in their games. They have also struggled to stop the run which will be a big problem here with the way Kamara has played in the first 2 games of the season. The Saints have the offense to put up points against this struggling Eagles defense, and the Saints also have a much better defense than the 2 teams the Eagles have faced so far. The best way to place a bet here is on the Saints to cover the spread in this game.

Eagles Saints Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, September 22, 2024 (1:00 pm ET start time) is Saints 27 Eagles 20.

Notable Quotes

“They made a couple more plays than we did down the stretch. We made some plays; they made more. And that’s on all of us. That starts with coaching and goes to the players. We are all responsible for the loss.” - Nick Sirianni after his team’s loss against the Falcons in their last game.

“I promised our team, and I promised our city I would do anything. I know it’s not going to be perfect, but I will do everything in my power, exhaust everything that I could even begin to imagine to try to just be better this year. So far we’ve started off good.” - Derek Carr after their win against the Cowboys in their last game.
