Ohio State vs Texas Prediction
The current betting odds have Ohio State listed as a 6 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Ohio State has looked really good in their games this season with their 12-2 record overall and their 7-2 conference record which has them right near the top of the Big Ten. They ended their regular season with a disaster loss to Michigan at home and that loss kept them out of the Big Ten Championship, but they have looked unstoppable since that loss to Michigan and are clearly playing with a chip on their shoulder. They played the first playoff game at home against Tennessee and rolled them, but now they are coming off a 41-21 win over the Big Ten Champions Oregon and gave them their first loss of the season. Ohio State looks like the best team in the country right now and it isn't even close. Meanwhile, Texas has looked really good in their games this season with their 13-2 record overall and their 7-1 conference record which has them right at the top of the SEC. They had the best regular season record in the SEC this year even though it was their first season in the conference, but they didn't win the SEC Championship with both of their losses coming to Georgia, once in the regular season and once in the SEC Championship. Texas hasn't looked great in the CFP either, winning a closer game at home against Clemson in the first round, giving up 24 points in that one, and now coming off a tight 39-31 win over Arizona State which they blew a big lead in and needed OT to win. Texas didn't really play many strong teams in their conference schedule either while Ohio State has faced the best teams in the nation and have still come out ahead. The best way to place a bet here is on Ohio State to cover the spread in this game.
