Michigan vs Washington Prediction

The current betting odds have Washington listed as a 2.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Washington hasn't looked great in their games this season with their 3-2 record overall and their 1-1 conference record. They did win their only Big Ten home game against Northwestern, but now they are coming off a road loss to Rutgers in their last one. Washington didn't look bad in that game though, only losing by 3 points on the road, and they have looked a lot better in their home games this year with their 3-0 home record. Meanwhile, Michigan has looked good in their games this season with their 4-1 record overall and their 2-0 conference record, but all 5 of their games this season have been at home. Now they are playing their first true road game of the season which is also their first conference road game of the season and they have to go to the West coast for it. This will not be an easy game for them, especially since their offense has struggled a lot this year. They don't really have a solid QB and it has shown in their offensive performances. They did look a lot better in their last game, but even their defense hasn't been as good as previous years, coming off a 27-24 win over a weak Minnesota team. This is going to be a tough trip to make and Washington will want to get their revenge on Michigan from the National Championship last season, even though it isn't the same team. The best way to place a bet here is on Washington to cover the spread in this game.

Michigan Washington Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, October 5, 2024 (7:30 pm ET start time) is Washington 23 Michigan 16.

Notable Quotes

“When you give a Big Ten team field position, that's what is going to happen. Every Big Ten team is a tough opponent. We don't look at them any differently.” - Sherrone Moore after his team’s win against Minnesota in their last game.

“It was a game that went 60 minutes. But I told the team, you can't play two teams. You can't play ourselves and our opponent. When you have a penalty after a blocked field goal and when you miss three field goals, there's too many things that came back to get us. Not to take anything away from Rutgers, but we didn't handle our penalties and that's the saddest part of the night.” - Jedd Fisch after his team’s loss against Rutgers in their last game.
