LSU vs Arkansas Prediction

The current betting odds have LSU listed as a 2.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. LSU has looked great in their games this season with their 5-1 record overall and their 2-0 conference record which has them near the top of the SEC. They lost their season opener to USC, but they have won 5 games in a row since then and they are going to have a ton of momentum from their OT win over Ole Miss last week. Meanwhile, Arkansas has looked good in their games this season with their 4-2 record overall and their 2-1 conference record, but that SEC loss puts them in the middle of the pack and out of the race for the Championship at the moment. They pulled off a huge upset win over Tennessee in their last one and now they are coming out of their bye week so they have had extra time to prepare for this game. Their defense has looked really good since entering conference play, but their offense has struggled a lot more and they have been relying more on defense to win their games. They will be able to slow LSU down a bit, but LSU has a much stronger offense that is going to be a big problem for this Arkansas defense throughout the game. LSU doesn't have the best defense, but they have improved a lot from previous years and they shouldn't have any problems stopping this Arkansas offense that hasn't scored 20 points in 2 straight games. LSU will do enough to win this game with their offense and keep on their streak. The best way to place a bet here is on LSU to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“Hopefully, this will be a huge growth moment for me in taking my game to the next level. I played bad, but we had a chance to win the ball game and I had to focus on that.” - Garrett Nussmeier after their win against Ole Miss in their last game.

“Our kids, our coaches did a wonderful job of preparing our guys and making them believe that we can go win tonight. These guys are happy; they’re not surprised. If we have the same amount of turnovers, we can play with anybody. You get into coaching for moments like what just happened, and it’s to see the kids and the smiles on their face and the hard work that they do, because there’s a lot of teams that can’t get to that feeling. We did tonight.” - Sam Pittman after his team’s win against Tennessee in their last game.
