Louisville vs Clemson Prediction

The current betting odds have Clemson listed as a 10 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Clemson has looked really good in their games this season with their 6-1 record overall and their 5-0 conference record which has them right near the top of the ACC. There are still 2 undefeated teams left in the ACC at the moment, Miami and Pittsburgh, but Clemson is still in a really good position to make the ACC Championship if they win out. Their only loss was in their season opener against Georgia, but they have been rolling ever since then with 6 wins in a row now. Meanwhile, Louisville has looked good in their games this season with their 5-3 record overall and their 3-2 conference record, but those 2 losses have now put them in a bad position to return to the ACC Championship. They have looked good on offense this season, putting up a ton of points in a lot of their games, but their defense hasn't looked good at all. They played a high scoring game with Miami which they gave up 52 points in, unable to stop Miami's offense, and they are coming off a game which they just gave up 27 points to Boston College and needed a comeback to win that game. Clemson has had a much better defense this season, they have been giving up some points but a majority has been in garbage time after Clemson already has a big lead. This Louisville defense won't be able to stop Clemson's offense here, but Clemson with the better defense will be able to get the stops at home and that will allow them to pull away throughout this game with their offense rolling. The best way to place a bet here is on Clemson to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“Obviously, things weren't going our way early on and it was disappointing — I'm sure for everybody. But to withstand that and just to continue to play to the end and find a way to win — against a good team, on the road — I couldn't be prouder. That's one of the toughest wins I think I've ever had.” - Jeff Brohm after his team’s win against BC in their last game.

“Sometimes, you just don't have as good of a game as you do others, and that's OK. That's why you get to have peace after the game knowing we put up 500 and something yards and however many points.” - Cade Klubnik after their win against UVA in their last game.
