In the first game of this series, the Dodgers walked all over the Diamondbacks.  The final score was 14-1… A pummeling by any standard in baseball.  75% of the Diamondbacks starting pitching would be sent down to the minors or cut if they woke up tomorrow as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers.  Conversely there are 5-6 Dodgers bullpen guys that would immediately become starters if they woke up tomorrow and found themselves in a Diamondback uniform.  The difference in talent is that severe.   That was the first game, with Game 2 set for Friday night.  This prediction is for Saturday Night’s Fox televised baseball, which would be Game 3.   

An MLB National League Matchup West.  The Best of the West is the Dodgers.  The scum of the West is almost the Diamondbacks… while technically still being the Colorado Rockies.  The Dodgers will spend the rest of the season competing with the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants for best in the West.  The Diamondbacks will spend the rest of the season competing with the Colorado Rockies for worst in the West.  That is how it will go mostly.  The Great betting opportunity last season was to simply bet BOTH the Dodgers and the Giants to win while skipping the games they played against each other… and you would be up so much cash it would fund your bankroll the next five years.  This season the Dodgers expect no difference even if they suffer an injury.  Yes, you will not make as much because you are betting against the moneyline… it still means wins to bet on the Dodgers… you just have to know when to skip a Dodgers bet.

The Dodgers didn’t destroy the Diamondbacks; they simply beat them each and every time they took the mound.  They also went 3-1 against the Philadelphia Phillies, and 1 against the Washington Nationals.  The Dodgers are killing the games from both fronts with a 1st place standing in scoring and a 1st place standing in team ERA.  The batting gauntlet of Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Trea Turner are too much for most MLB pitchers… The Dodgers have many more great hitters but those three are special.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are just 1 game above .500… Soon they will have a losing record.  It’s actually rather remarkable that a team that is below average hitting, below average pitching, and God Awful fielding… somehow managed to reach the 45 game mark with a winning record!  That is some special luck.  The Diamondbacks have won 5 of their last 10 games.  8 Over, 1 Under, and 1 Push.  The went 2-0 against the Kansas City Royals, 3-1 against the Chicago Cubs, and a lousy 0-4 against THESE Los Angeles Dodgers.  The moral of the story heere is that the Diamondbacks can beat rotten teams all day long, but have no chance against good teams.  That is a pretty reliable piece of gambling information to tuck into your brain pan.
