Colts vs Packers Prediction

The current betting odds have the Colts listed as a 3.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Colts have a 0-1 record this season but they didn't look bad in their season opener. They lost to the Texans at home 29-27, but they were right in that game until the very end. Richardson looked great in the offense and they are catching a bit of a break in this game. The Packers are also 0-1 overall after losing their season opener in Brazil to the Eagles. They lost that game 34-29 and didn't look bad at all in it, but the game isn't the only thing they lost in Brazil. Jordan Love picked up an injury at the end of that game which will keep him out a few weeks now so the Colts are getting a much less efficient offense to go against without Love leading the way. The Packers defense wasn't great in that season opener either and the Colts showed they can put up a ton of offense when they need it. Between the injury to Love and the long travel back from Brazil, everything in this game is pointing to the Colts getting their 1st win of the season after an impressive performance in week 1. The best way to place a bet here is on the Colts to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“It’s going to be like this a lot, you know, there’s going to be a lot of one-score games. We’ve got to find ways at the end, offensively and defensively, to make the plays in critical situations.” - Shane Steichen after his team’s loss against the Texans in their last game.

“We’ve got to learn from this. Because, just watching the tape, and I’m not trying to take anything away from Philly — they battled and they played their game — but I think there was a lot of opportunities that we didn’t capitalize.” - Matt LaFleur after his team’s loss against the Eagles in their last game.
