The Cavaliers are having a renaissance.  They no longer have LeBron James for a few seasons now… and they spent the intervening seasons losing badly.  However, every now and then constantly going back to the NBA draft will pay off.  This Cavaliers team is on a five-game winning streak against the Houston Rockets, the Miami Heat, the Sacramento Kings, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Chicago Bulls.  In fact the team they last lost to was the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night December 6th.  The Cavs are poised for something good.  They are no longer the underdog, they can win any matchup, and it’s all because of the young starters they have amassed.  Cleveland no longer fears a tip-off.

The Bucks still laugh at how cute the cavaliers are.  The Bucks still have MVP, Finals MVP, and NBA Champion Giannis Antetokounmpo.  They are a clear home favorite.  They are lean and mean… and ready to produce Finals Trophies for the case in Milwaukee. Who is going to stop them?  When will they be road underdogs? Who does ESPN like better?  People often think of the Bucks like the Utah Jazz or the Denver Nuggets… always good, but surrounded by better contenders… except the Bucks have pushed through and won!

The Cavs are 18-12 on the season, but a fantastic 23-7 ATS!!  They have logged 11 Overs and 19 Unders.  They are 9-5 in road games.  Their bugaboo is turnovers, because of the plethora of young players… but they have talent, skill, and youth. It doesn’t take a “sharp” from NJ to tell you they are a good bet.

The Bucks are 19-11 on the season, but 13-17 ATS.  They earn large spreads based on their reputation.  It doesn’t take a corn farmer from IA to tell you they are favored in home games.  They have notched 11 Overs and 19 Unders.  The math is screaming: “bet the Under”.  They are 10-4 at home.

The cavs are 18th in ppg with 106.6, 16th in rebounds with 45 per game, and 21st in AST/TO ratio (thanks young guys) with 1.6. They are shooting 12th in FG%, 12th in 3PT%, and 11th in FT%.  This is a good team, wash your mind from seasons past and give them a chance to make you money.

The Bucks are 9th in ppg with 110.6 per game, 2nd in rebounds with 47.3 per game, and 19th in AST/TO ratio with 1.6…. Same ini AST/TO ratio?  The Bucks are seasoned Vets who should not let that happen.  The Bucks are shooting 16th in FG%, 7th in 3Pt%, and a sad 23rd in FT%.  They can defend.

A close game, the Cavs will cover and may win.  The Bucks will struggle, as they have with their shot as of late.

Bickerstaff.  Coach Bickerstaff has done something other Cavs coaches couldn’t do… build a winner!  Outside of Lou Alcindor and LeBron James… few people have ever made winners out of the Cavs.  Bickerstaf is off to a hot start.  Plus Sexton is out for the season and ripe to be traded away when he returns along with Kevin Love freeing up cap money when he expires.

Bucks: Mike Budenholzer.  Coach Budenholzer was on the hot seat  before he won an NBA Championship.  Now he is sure to be in Milwaukee longer than Giannis.  ( not kidding Giannis is gone when he is a FA… the guy is missing out on 20+ million per year every year he is not in a big market)
