BYU vs Alabama Prediction

The current betting odds have Alabama listed as a 5.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Alabama has looked really good in their games this season with their 27-8 record overall and their 13-5 conference record which had them right near the top of the SEC. They have also been good in their neutral site games as they are 6-2 in those games. Meanwhile, BYU has looked good in their games this season with their 26-9 record overall and their 14-6 conference record which had them right near the top of the Big 12. They were also good in their neutral site games with their 5-2 record in those. BYU looked really good in their first 2 games as they dominated, beating VCU by double digits and beating Wisconsin by 2 points in a game they never trailed in. As good as they looked in those games, they did have an advantage since they played both of those games in altitude, something they are used to. Alabama didn't have a great end to the season, but they beat Auburn in that last game of the regular season and that really gave them a spark coming into this tournament. They have been starting to roll again and looked good in their 2 games. They did play a tighter game with Robert Morris as they struggled to pull away at times, but they won that game by 9 points and are now coming off a win over Saint Mary's in a game they never really trailed in. Alabama also has the best offense in the nation so they are a tough team to keep up with when they are playing well. BYU has been rolling over the last few weeks, but they are still in their first season with a new head coach and they don't have the experience that Alabama has. Alabama made a very deep run last year and they still have a lot of that talent on their team so they know what they need to do to win these games. The best way to place a bet here is on Alabama to cover the spread in this game.
