Utah vs Oklahoma State Prediction

The current betting odds have Utah listed as a 2.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Utah has looked really good in their games this season with their 3-0 record overall and they look like they could be the best team in the Big 12 this season. Utah was without their star QB in their last game, Cam Rising, but Isaac Wilson took over the role nicely with their 38-21 win over Utah State. This offense is not like it was last season without Rising, and their defense is still solid too so Utah is going to be a really dangerous team this season, looking to win the Big 12 Championship in their first year of being in the conference. Meanwhile, Oklahoma State has also looked really good in their games this season with their 3-0 record this season. They are coming off a big win over Tulsa on the road last week, but they didn't look as good the week before against a stronger opponent. They managed to beat Arkansas at home in OT, but they struggled a lot in that game as they were down big at halftime. They looked a lot better in the 2nd half, but a lot of their win in that game was also Arkansas shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly in the 2nd half. That was already a close call for OK State against a mediocre team from the SEC, now they have to play a team that might just be the best in their conference and has experience winning as they were the Pac-12 Champions just a couple of seasons ago. Even with their backup in, Utah has a solid offense that will move the ball, and their defense will be key to winning this game as they usually show up big in these important spots. The best way to place a bet here is on Utah to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“They were more ready to play than we were at the onset. We kind of sleepwalked through that first quarter, got things going after that.” - Kyle Whittingham after his team’s win against USU in their last game.

“It’s fun to watch him, because he’s one of those guys you can see get better each week, just from experience. There’s a lot of repetition and learning that takes place in that position. He’s never seen it before this.” - Mike Gundy on Kendal Daniels and his growth as a player in their first 3 games of the season.
