USC vs Michigan Prediction

The current betting odds have USC listed as a 5.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. USC has looked really good in their games this season with their 2-0 record overall. They won their season opener against LSU which was a great win to open up the season, and now they are coming off a 48-0 win over Utah State in their last game. The offense has picked up right where it left off last season, even with Caleb Williams gone now, but the defense has also seen some major improvement so far. Meanwhile, Michigan is 2-1 overall in their games this season, but they haven't looked great in those games. There is a lot of talent from last season that is no longer on this Michigan team and it is showing up in their results. They struggled to pull away from Fresno State and Arkansas State in their 2 wins this season, and they also got blown out by Texas at home in their 1 loss. Both of these teams are now playing their first conference game of the season here, but USC has shown a lot more positives in their first 2 games. Michigan still has a good defense this year, but it isn't nearly as good as it was last year. The offense has also struggled to put up points in their 3 games and that is going to be a big problem with the way this USC offense has been putting up points in their games. USC didn't have a great season last year, but this is their chance for redemption in their first season being in the Big Ten, and this would be a huge statement win on the road against the defending National Champions. The best way to place a bet here is on USC to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

The offense did a good job running the ball. That was a big emphasis point, so we were proud of the way the guys responded.” - Lincoln Riley after his team’s win against USU in their last game.
