Steelers vs Bengals Prediction

The current betting odds have the Bengals listed as a 3 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Bengals have looked terrible in their games this season with their 4-7 record overall which has them near the bottom of the AFC North and out of the playoff race with 7 losses. They lost their last game against the Chargers after going down early and pulling off a huge comeback, but they still fell short in the end. They haven't looked good in their home games either with their 1-4 home record, but they are going to be desperate to try and salvage their season with a win here. They are coming out of their bye week so they have had extra time to prepare for this game and as bad as their defense has been this season, they still have one of the best offenses in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Steelers have looked really good in their games this season with their 8-3 record overall which has them right at the top of the AFC North with one of the best records in the entire NFL. As good as they have looked lately, they are coming off a loss to the Browns in their last one and their offense has been having some red zone issues lately. The Steelers have one of the best defenses in the NFL so that is going to play a big part here, but good defenses have struggled to stop the Bengals offense this season and the Steelers inability to punch the ball in the end zone lately could come back to bite them here. This is not a game they are going to win with field goals and this is a desperate spot for the Bengals too so they are going to bring their best effort here. The best way to place a bet here is on the Bengals to cover the spread in this game.

Steelers Bengals Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, December 1, 2024 (1:00 pm ET start time) is Bengals 27 Steelers 20.

Notable Quotes

“There are a couple of areas of play. Particularly, red zone offense and some red zone defense. We feel like there’s more meat on that bone offensively and defensively. We’ve got to get back to weighty playmaking in the waning moments of the games. That’s life in the NFL. There’s a fine line between drinking wine and squashing grapes. We know that.” - Mike Tomlin after his team’s loss against the Browns in their last game.

“We’ve played some really good football teams, and we’ve just got to find a way to finish. I keep saying that, and obviously we’re a play away every time I say it. I’ve still got the confidence that we can get this thing done.” - Zac Taylor after his team’s loss against the LA Chargers in their last game.
