North Carolina State vs Clemson Prediction

The current betting odds have Clemson listed as a 17 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Clemson has been a mixed bag to start the college football season this year. They looked terrible in their season opener with a 34-3 loss against Georgia, but they looked a lot better in their last game which was a 66-20 win against App State. Georgia is one of the best teams in the country so that was always going to be a tough game to win, but they got completely dismantled in a game where they weren't able to do much. They bounced back with an excellent performance in their last game and they were on bye last week so they have had extra time to prepare for this game. Meanwhile, NC State hasn't looked good in their games this season with their 2-1 record overall. They are 2-0 in their home games, but this will be their first road game of the season and their first conference game too. They didn't look good last week as they were trailing at home to LA Tech and barely pulled off the win in the end. They looked even worse the week before, getting blown out by Tennessee at a neutral site which was more of a home game for them with the location. NC State just hasn't looked good in their games this season and even though this is a rivalry game that they always bring their best effort for, Clemson is coming off a great performance and has something to prove this season after falling off the last few years. The ACC is still wide open this season too so expect Clemson to bring their best effort and pick up right where they left off in their last game. The best way to place a bet here is on Clemson to cover the spread in this game.
