Patriots vs Jets Prediction

The current betting odds have the Patriots listed as a 6.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Patriots have looked good in their games this season with their 1-1 record overall. They are coming off a loss against the Seahawks in their last one, but they put up a really good fight sending that game to OT. They also pulled off an upset win over the Bengals in week 1 and that game was on the road. This is their first divisional game of the season, but they have already been tested by 2 solid teams and Brissett has proven to be a good starter in this offense. Brissett isn't winning games with his arm, but he isn't turning the ball over which is huge and the team also has a really good run game to go with their good defense. Meanwhile, the Jets are also 1-1 overall this season, but they haven't looked great in their games. They got blown out by the 49ers in their season opener and even in their game last week, they struggled against the Titans with a slow start. They managed to come back and win that game by a touchdown, but a lot of that was also mistakes made by the Titans offense, something the Patriots haven't really been doing. The Patriots are going to play another smart game here with a lot of running and they are going to try and control this game by limiting possessions for the Jets with the run game. The Jets didn't really get any games with Rodgers last season so he is still trying to get in his rhythm with this new offense, and that is something the Patriots can take advantage of on defense to stay in this game. The best way to place a bet here is on the Patriots to cover the spread in this game.

Patriots Jets Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Thursday, September 19, 2024 (8:15 pm ET start time) is Jets 20 Patriots 16.
