An inter-conference matchup between the worst of the Al Central and the 3rd place team of the NL West.  The conferences are one thing… but the divisions are another.  The Royals are terrible in what may be the easiest division in baseball.  The Giants are 3rd in what may be the toughest division in baseball.  Not really a contest.  The great betting opportunity is obvious…. And when we check the numbers it will become more obvious.

The Kansas City Royals have won only 4 of the last 10 games.  Going 5 Over and 5 Under.  They are not in control of winning or losing.  They rely heavily on someone else having a bad game.  Or on the chance that they run into another bad team given the awful division they play out of.  They went 2-1 against the Baltimore Orioles, 1-2 against the Toronto Blue Jays, 1-2 against the Houston Astros, and 0-1 against the Cleveland Indians during that stretch.  If you notice the pattern…. They never win opening games against better teams.  You can make that $$$.  

The San Francisco Giants have won 5 of their last 10- games. They have beaten up on the Los Angeles Dodgers with one Dodgers game left to play.  They are 2-0 against the Dodgers, 1-2 against the Colorado Rockies, 2-2 against the Miami Marlins, and 0-1 against the Philadelohia Phillies.  They went 3 Over, 5 Under and 2 Push.

Royals: RHP Brady Singer, 3-1, 4.33 ERA,. 35 strikeouts in 35 innings pitched.  1.16 WHIP.  This 25 year old can throw the ball.  He came up during 2020 when there were no crowds and he hobbled himself into a 12-16 record for his career.  This season is better… and hopefully the Royals look to trade him to another club to maximize his career potential.  

Giants: LHP Alex Wood, 3-5, 4.23 ERA, 55 strikeouts in 55 innings pitched.  1.34 WHIP. A-Wood has had a much better career than his numbers say this season…. The team is throwing him an easy bone to improve those numbers.
