Jaguars vs Raiders Prediction

The current betting odds have the Jaguars listed as a 1 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Jaguars have looked terrible in their games this season with their 3-11 record overall which has them right near the bottom of the AFC South with one of the worst records in the NFL. They are down to their backup QB Mac Jones, but they haven't looked that bad in their last 2 games. They do have a win in their last 2 games and they are coming off a 32-25 loss to the Jets in a back-and-forth game which they had a chance to win. Meanwhile, the Raiders have looked terrible in their games this season with their 2-12 record overall which has them right at the bottom of the AFC West with the worst record in the entire NFL. They are coming off a 15-9 loss to the Falcons last week and did have a chance to win that game, but that was more so the Falcons offense looking terrible with Kirk Cousins lately. The Raiders had no offense in that game and the Jags have shown some fight now in their last 2 games. Aidan O'Connell could be back for this game, but they have had a huge question mark at QB all season and all they have to look forward to is next season. The Jags actually looked good on offense last week against the Jets so they will be able to put up points on this bad Raiders defense and the Jags have looked like the better team lately too. The best way to place a bet here is on the Jaguars to cover the spread in this game.

Jaguars Raiders Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, December 22, 2024 (4:25 pm ET start time) is Jaguars 17 Raiders 13.

Notable Quotes

“Aaron is a great quarterback. He’s a Hall of Fame quarterback. They made plays that we didn’t make, and that part’s unfortunate. It comes down to just a couple plays in your season or your game or whatever could be a little bit different.” - Doug Pederson after his team’s loss against the Jets in their last game.

“We were never able to find a rhythm until late in the game. By then, it's too little, too late.” - Desmond Ridder after their loss against the Falcons in their last game.
