Jaguars vs Lions Prediction

The current betting odds have the Lions listed as a 13 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Lions have looked great in their games this season with their 8-1 record overall which leads the NFC North with one of the best records in the entire NFL. Their only loss this season was at home against the Buccaneers, but they have been rolling since then with 7 wins in a row now. They are also coming off a great win against the Texans on the road in a game where Jared Goff threw 5 INTs, but they still came out ahead. Now they will be back at home and they will be looking to continue on their path to the number 1 seed in the NFC. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have looked terrible in their games this season with their 2-8 record overall which has them at the bottom of the AFC South with one of the worst records in the entire NFL. They also lost their starting QB Trevor Lawrence and had to roll out Mac jones last week, but the offense looked even worse in that game. The offense was starting to look better with Lawrence after a terrible start to the season, but last week with Mac Jones they were only able to muster up 7 points at home. The defense did look a lot better as they held a solid Vikings offense to just 12 points with no TDs, but now they are going to be on the road in a tougher environment against a much better offense too. The Lions have plenty of big wins this season against bad teams and after the way they won last week, they will be looking to bounce back with a better performance here since they didn't play like a winning football team in that game. The best way to place a bet here is on the Lions to cover the spread in this game.

Jaguars Lions Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, November 17, 2024 (1:00 pm ET start time) is Lions 42 Jaguars 6.

Notable Quotes

“I never expected to be here, obviously. We have five or six one-score games. It's hard. As a team, as coaches, we're making it hard. We're making it too hard. The guys are frustrated, and they should be. They're angry, and they should be. We all are.” - Doug Pederson after his team’s loss against the Vikings in their last game.

“That was a hard-fought game. We had to fight our way back in there. I’m proud of the guys. There’s things we’ve got to clean up, but our guys wouldn’t go away. They just wouldn’t go away.” - Dan Campbell after his team’s win against the Texans in their last game.
