Season Record

Warriors: 23-5, 1st place Western Conference (league's best record)
Raptors:  13-15, 11th place Eastern Conference

The Warriors are every bit the league leaders in record and fun!  PG Stephen Curry just recently set the record for most made 3-pointers of all time.  Warriors game info reads like a potentially Championship team.  Also, they are waiting for the return of mega-talent Klay Thompson.  Klay famously has missed two seasons now recovering from an ACL injury in his knee followed by even worse achilles problems in his ankle.  Once back, no one expects Klay to be the defensive player he once was (that’s why they held on to super sub Gary Payton Jr)… but if his shooting is anything close to what it was when he left… Then the first place team will ascend to higher heights. If you had bet the Warriors on the moneyline in November, you would have gone 13-2!!  Amazing returns.  You would have the sort of money that could buy you courtside seats at the Chase Center in San Francisco!!

The Raptors have been a doormat.  Sure, they no longer have 90% of the team that won the Championship in 2019.  Yet they still have a great coach and they still have an amazing GM (who should have taken the Knicks job in 2020 when it was offered).  Right now the Raptors are stuck with Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam.  Good players that are now coasting on that championship ring they were role players for.  They are now the type of team that has losses against the Detroit Pistons, the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Boston Celtics.. All terrible teams.  The NBA season, regular season, is a slog… the Raptors are barely slogging.

Golden State Warriors vs Toronto Raptors Preview and Analysis

Recent Form

The Warriors are 23-5 on the season, but 18-9-1 ATS.  They have logged 7 Over, 20 Unders, and 1 Push.  They are the #1 ranked defense in the NBA!!  Thanks, Draymond Green! They are a fantastic 9-3 in road games.

The Raptors are 13-15 on the season and 13-15 ATS.  They have notched 15 Overs and 13 Unders.  They are a floundering 6-9 at home.  That means that guys go through Customs and covid testing just to get into Canada at 11 PM on Sunday and then smack the Raptors down at 7:30 PM Monday. A perilously bad precedent to not win when you have such an extreme advantage.

Offensive Analysis

The Warriors are 3rd in PTS with 111.8 ppg, 3rd in rebounds with 47 per game, and 10th in AST/TO ratio with 1.8.  You don’t win the AST/TO ratio battle unless your roster is hitting shots.  The Warriors rank 3rd in FG% and 5th in 3PT %,,, they also have the greatest shooter of all time in Steph Curry!!  If the defense lags off for a moment, the Warriors drain that shot!

The Raptors are 21st in points per game with 105.9, 19th in rebounds per game with 44.6, and 12th in AST/TO ratio with 1.7. A full-game side bet would be AST/TO ratio.
