Are we going to keep pretending?  Karl-Anthony Towns is really good, his young running mate Anthony Edwards is turning into a real good pick at #1 in 2020. D’Angelo Russell is still there.  It’s all shaping up to be a nice young regular season team… but will they keep winning?  What we know about the Wolves is they weren’t meant for winning… of course we also say the same thing about the Hornets and the Knicks and the New Orleans Pelicans… oh wait we are right about the Pelicans.  So what is it?  Has the NBA reached an eternal NBA preseason or do the Wolves have enough momentum to keep beating opponents to eventually make the playoffs?... HMMMmmm?

The Nuggets have Nikola Jokic… they will be winners, they will be in the playoffs, they don’t worry about draft picks in the offseason… They don’t play many guys in their rookie season.  Of course the roster will have to wait for Aaron Gordon to play like we all think he can.... look out for that second unit.

The Nuggets have beaten the Phoenix Suns and the San Antonio Spurs.  They have lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Utah Jazz.  We don’t know what will happen with the 2021-22 season.  The Cavs may be good, the Raptors are most likely bad… Cats and Dogs are high fiving… We don’t know what this season will bring… We do know the Nuggets need to get healthy… and that Michael Porter Jr needs to average 22 pts a game or get traded.

The Timberwolves have beaten the Houston Rockets, the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Milwaukee Bucks.  They also have lost to the New Orleans Pelicans.  So, we know nothing about whether they are good or not.  We do know that Anthony Edwards plays well with Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Nuggets are 25th in points scored in the NBA.  That is not horrible as they are a good defensive squad.  They are shooting 25th in FG%.  That is bad, it doesn’t matter if they are good at defense… they have to score.  23rd in 3pt%. You can’t bet on these numbers.

The Timberwolves are 17th in points scored.  They are 25th in FG% and 23rd in 3PT%.  They brought a knife to a gun fight.  They can’t shoot.  Of course with young players these numbers change… except Karl-Anthony Towns is not a young player anymore and D’Angelo Russell is not a young player anymore… so the whole world rests on whether Anthony Edwards learns to shoot.  He won’t.
