Season Record

Bears: 3-5 (NFC North)
Steelers: 4-3 (AFC North)

A matchup of the North.  A cold weather Monday Night Football Nov battle.  Pit vs Chi, the black and yellow vs the black and white.  The Steelers are under a three-game winning streak after starting soft.  The Bears are trying to break in rookie quarterback Justin Fields in a throwaway losing season.  Is it a great betting opportunity?… or just a game for entertainment purposes? A rookie qb Justin Fields against an octogenarian qb Big Ben… strap in it’s NFL week 9 and the point spread falls right in line with the stats.

Ben Burns delivered a PERFECT 4-0 WEEKEND with his football. Among the winners were his AFC GAME OF THE YEAR, the Jets OUTRIGHT over the Bengals AND his College Football NON-CONF. GAME OF THE YEAR, BYU over Virginia. Including those 10* rated winners, Ben begins the week on a 31-13 RUN with his top rated selections. Don't wait on his 2021 NON-CONF GAME OF THE YEAR. Chicago Bears vs Pittsburgh Steelers Preview and Analysis

Recent Form
The Bears are a mess.  They are on a 3-game losing streak to match the Steelers 3- game winning streak.  The Bears have beaten the Detroit Lions, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Las Vegas Raiders.  The Bengals and Raiders are good teams… but those feel like random wins.  The Lions don’t deserve to keep a spot in the NFL at this point and anyone who loses to them (no one has) should cut their entire roster.

The Steelers are slowly recovering from a terrible start.  They lost three of their first four games to the Bengals, Raiders, and Green Bay Packers.  The lone win was against the current toast of the league in the Buffalo Bills.  They haven't lost in the three games since, but to be fair they have played loser after loser.  They beat the Denver Broncos, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Cleveland Browns (the Browns are enormous losers until they have a new QB).  Good thing the Bears are worse than all those teams.

Offensive Analysis

The Bears offense is last in the NFL in yards and points per game.  They score 15.4 ppg on 264 ypg.  They pass for 127.4 yards and rush for 136.6 yards per game.  The only team in the NFL that rushes for more than they pass for… and don’t confuse them for a strong rushing team.  They are just plain bad.

The Pittsburgh offense isn’t what it once was.  They currently get 330.4 yards per game and score 18.9 ppg. The low scoring is a result of the high turnover rate and the may failures in the Red Zone.  They only manage 86 yards per game rushing.  That could be a problem since the Bears defense has a pretty good pass rush for a bad team.

Defensive Analysis

The Chicago Bears defense allows 24.4 ppg and 357.5 yards per game.  They are allowing 125 yards rushing per game this season and about to face one of the worst rushing teams.  This is the advantage they should be dialed into.  Pass D can be focused on because the Steelers will not stretch the Run D.

The Steelers allow 20.3 ppg on 345.7 ypg.  They have not faced a mobile quarterback since Josh Allen in week one and Josh Allen was clearly off in week one. Pittsburgh got rid of reserve pass rusher Melvin Ingram at the NFL trade deadline for chemistry… but it does leave them light if something happens to the pass rushers they have on the active roster.

Chicago Bears vs Pittsburgh Steelers Prediction

Our NFL Prediction for Sunday, November 8th is ...  Bears 21 - Steelers 17

With each and every game Justin Fields is getting more experienced while Ben Rothelisberger gets 1 game older.  The Cliff hit Ben last year… he will finish falling off of it against the Bears this season.  Hopefully lame duck head coach Matt Nagy can stay out of the Bears way.
