Panthers vs Commanders Prediction

The current betting odds have the Commanders listed as an 8 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Commanders have looked good in their games this season with their 4-2 record overall which has them at the top of the NFC East after 6 weeks. They are coming off a loss to the Ravens in their last one, but the Ravens have been one of the best teams in the NFL over the last 2 seasons. The Commanders will be looking to bounce back from that loss now that they are back at home and up against one of the worst teams in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Panthers have looked terrible in their games this season with their 1-5 record overall which has them at the bottom of the NFC South with one of the worst records in the entire NFL once again. They got off to a bad start this season and benched Bryce Young early on, but Dalton hasn't been any better with only 1 win in the 4 games he has played. The offense has looked better with Dalton, but they aren't putting up a ton of points in every game with consistency being an issue. It also hasn't really mattered what the offense does because the defense has been one of the worst in the NFL so an offense like the Commanders have is going to put up points in this game. The Commanders will be looking to bounce back at home and this will be a game where they will be able to pull away in. The best way to place a bet here is on the Commanders to cover the spread in this game.

Panthers Commanders Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, October 20, 2024 (4:05 pm ET start time) is Commanders 27 Panthers 14.

Notable Quotes

“You get into those situations in a one-score game and we’ve just got to finish. There’s nothing else to say other than that. We’ve got to finish on our terms and be able to punch that in, get a 2-point opportunity and turn it into a game. We have to learn how to put a full game together.” - Dave Canales after his team’s loss against the Falcons in their last game.

“B-Rob is a great player, but it’s next man up. We have to go out there and do our job.” - Jayden Daniels after their loss against the Ravens in their last game.
